Celebrity chef, Paul Ainsworth recently came to the Children’s Cancer Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital and was taken on a tour by ex-patient Coco Toogood.
Paul was taken into some of the single patient rooms to meet current patients and hear how the funds raised in his recent Iron Man Challenge – over £60k – will be used to enhance and refurbish the spaces. The goal is to make the bedrooms and social spaces more relaxing and comforting for the patients and their families, many of whom will spend many days on the unit.
