The Healing Garden Summer Sessions at Royal Cornwall Hospital are back for a second year by popular demand!
After last year’s overwhelming success Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is delighted to invite patients, hospital visitors and staff to enjoy the Healing Garden Summer Sessions for 2025.
The award-winning Healing Garden, on the ground floor of the Trelawny Wing at Royal Cornwall Hospital, is filled with sensory plants, two outdoor hospital bed spaces, a rehabilitation bridge, and peaceful seating areas for families, carers and staff.
This year’s Summer Sessions will once again feature live performances from some of Cornwall’s most beloved choirs, offering soothing and uplifting music in the tranquil surroundings of the Healing Garden at the heart of Royal Cornwall Hospital.
We’re delighted to welcome:
- Thursday 31st July, 2:00–2:45pm – Culdrose Military Choir
- Thursday 28th August, 2:00–2:45pm – Truro Male Choir
- Thursday 25th September, 2:00–2:45pm – Nankersey Male Choir
These inspiring performances aim to create a calming and restorative atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
Refreshments will be served, and all donations received during the three sessions will go towards the ongoing upkeep and enhancement of the Healing Garden, ensuring it continues to be a peaceful sanctuary for all who visit.
The Healing Garden has become a vital part of the hospital environment, offering therapeutic benefits and a welcoming space for reflection and recovery.
Kym Vigus, Critical Care Matron at Royal Cornwall Hospital, shared:
“After such a successful Summer Sessions last year, we can’t wait to do it all again. It’s so important to invite patients, their families and staff from across the hospital to enjoy this unique and healing space. We have some fantastic local singers who are excited to perform.”
