Surgeon swims to advance surgery in Cornwall

A pod of 35, and growing, swimmers will take to the sea off Rosemullion Head, Falmouth in July to complete a challenging 5km sea swim ending at Pendennis Head. Participants of ‘5k Across the Bay’ will be raising funds and awareness to bring new robotic technology to patient undergoing surgery in Cornwall.

Riders one and all, by overwhelming demand, RCHT Charity is back with our amazing Pedal4Patients cycle challenge. 200 miles over 3 days across some of the most glorious Cornish coast and countryside.

Trauma Response Car, equipped by RCHT Charity

The introduction of a Major Trauma Response Car, operating out of Royal Cornwall Hospital, means that patients suffering serious injury, for example at a road traffic accident, may no longer need to come via Royal Cornwall Hospital on their way to receive care at one of the region’s major trauma centres.
